A quarter of French people believe five or more conspiracy theories, according to a recent study published by a French think tank. Top of the list is the theory that the French government is in collusion with drug companies over vaccinations.
The study was published days after French President Emmanuel Macron announced that he would be proposing a law against so-called "fake news", which would limit what could be posted on social media during election campaigns.
In this report, RFI looks into the study and the connection between conspiracy theories and fake news, and the influence they have in France.
