Liberia's anti-graft body says Weah undermining fight against corruption

The Head of Liberia’s Anti-Corruption Commission (LACC), James Verdier, has accused the government of President George Weah of undermining the fight against corruption.Corruption is said to be one of the root causes that lead to the outbreak of the 14 years civil crisis in that West African Nation in 1990. An estimated 250,000 people died in that conflict.Weah became President after two unsuccessful bids against former President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, promising to end corruption.One year into the Weah administration, our Correspondent Darlington Porkpa reports from Monrovia.Click on "Play" above to listen.
