Nigeria election commission promises free and fair polls
Nigeria’s Independent National Electoral Commission says it is ready to conduct free and fair elections in presidential and parliamentary polls on 8-9 April. And rival politicians are trying to outsmart one another.

His main challenger, General Muhammadu Buhari, has been attending football matches, trying associate himself with young Nigerian voters.
The polls are likely to be fiercely contested with some predictions of a presidential run-off.
At the same time, opposition politicians are concerned that opinion polls currently stand in Jonathan’s favour.
Police have arrested a man with 26,000 fake electoral forms.
And in the northern state of Bornu, the Peoples Democratic Party has accused the All Nigeria Peoples Party of getting people to exchange their voter cards for mosquito nets, while the Action Congress party is complaining
