Ugandan authorities requested the court to allow Mohamed Mohamed, a Kenyan who has been detained in Tanzania since he was arrested in January, to be sent to Kampala.
Ugandan authorities had asked Tanzania to transfer the suspect for prosecution
Mohamed’s lawyer, Jethro Mwesiga, has opposed the transfer, saying that his client might not receive a fair trial in Uganda.
The Ugandan government has been arresting and detaining suspects linked to the 11 July bombings, including Kenyan activist Ali Amin Kimathi.
So far Uganda has charged 36 people suspected of being involved in the attacks, which were claimed by the Somali al Shebab group.
