Sudanese flee violence in South Kordofan

Issued on:

Sudan says the humanitarian situation in South Kordofan is stable. Sudan’s minister of social welfare, Amira al-Fadil, says a humanitarian survey in 11 districts refutes allegations of a food crisis in the region. But the rebels in South Kordofan, the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement, says the survey doesn't take into account war zones. Bolda Makueng is with the SPLM, the ruling party in South Sudan. He told RFI that Sudanese citizens are continuing to flee the violence in South Kordofan.
