The Special Court for Sierra Leone in The Hague is due to pass judgement later this morning in the war crimes trial of the former Liberian President Charles Taylor. Taylor is accused of 11 counts of crimes against humanity, war crimes, and serious violations of international law for his role in the Sierra Leone Civil War between 1996 and 2002. RFI spoke to a lawyer who originally served as interim counsel for Charles Taylor at the Special Court for Sierra Leone in The Hague.
