Nigeria's government struggles to end Boko Haram violence

Nigeria's northern states have seen a week of religious unrest, sparked by a number of church attacks, claimed by the Islamist group Boko Haram, in Kaduna state last weekend. They have reignited fears that the violence could spiral out of control. In the second of a two-part series, Jean Herskovits, a specialist in Nigerian politics at the State University of New York, discusses the Nigerian government's attempts to negociate with this group.
