Senegal's President Macky Sall announced during the AU Summit that Chad's former leader, Hissène Habré, would be brought to trial in Senegal, and not in Belgium. Belgium issued an international arrest warrant against Habré in 2005, and has made numerous attempts to extradite him from Senegal without success.
