Unesco awards controversial science prize

At the Paris-based United Nations cultural body, Unesco a controversial science prize was awarded to three scientists on Tuesday. Rights groups allege the 2.4-million-euro prize money was taken from state coffers by the president of Equatorial Guinea, Teodoro Obiang. Meanwhile the president's son is wanted for questioning by French police over allegations of embezzlement. Maud Perdriel Vaissiere is a lawyer who has been investigating the president's son.
