Rooting out corruption in Algeria

There have been reports in local media that Algerian President Abdelaziz Bouteflika's health is ailing. Bouteflika has himself said that he will retire in 2014 after being in power for 15 years. This announcement has given rise to a behind-the-scenes power struggle in Algiers. Some observers believe this is the reason behind a recent flurry of corruption probes. RFI spoke to Geoff Porter, an analyst at Narco, North Africa Risk Consulting.
