On 24 December an editor and journalist from the newspaper Al- Mizan were arrested by Nigerian State Security. This came shortly after a report was published on alleged abuses by troops battling Islamist extremists. Both journalists were released on Tuesday 1 January and no reason was given for their brutal arrest. RFI spoke to Moussa Ibrahim, the editor in chief of Al-Mizan, to find out if they'd been able to shed any light on this case and what actions he and his journalist would be taking.
