The Trio Joubran celebrate 10 years of oud mastery

The Trio Joubran celebrate 10 years of oud mastery

letriojoubran.com

The Trio Joubran are three Palestinian brothers, virtuosi of the Arabic lute, the oud. Their dream was to make the oud into a solo instrument in its own right and they've succeeded. Their intuitive style and passion has seduced audiences all around the world. With six albums and more than 1,000 concerts under their belt, they are celebrating a decade of music with a compilation album The first 10 years and a major concert at Paris's mythic Olympia on 7 February. They talk about their quest to be normal musicians and for an independent Palestinian state.

Music in the programme is from their latest album Asfâr.
