Zimbabwe's Movement for Democratic Change says the majority of people on the country's voter lists are dead. The MDC secretary general, Tendai Biti, made the surprising statement ahead of a political rally in South African at the weekend. There are an estimated 1.5 million Zimbabweans living in South Africa. Biti said that two-thirds of registered Zimbabwean voters are deceased, leaving only two million voters. RFI spoke to Wilf Mbanga, a newspaper publisher, who says this can't be true.
