Ghanaians groan as fuel costs soar

In Ghana’s capital, Accra, working people say they are dismayed by a 20 per cent rise in fuel prices introduced last month. The government cut part of its fuel subsidy after the central bank announced the budget deficit was in double digits. Now Ghanaians are complaining about rising fuel costs.
