Issued on:

In Nigeria, security forces continue their operation against Boko Haram in the northeastern state of Borno. The military imposed a round-the-clock curfew in 12 neighbourhoods of Maiduguri, an Islamist stronghold, over the weekend. A night time curfew is in effect in the two other states, Adamawa and Yobe, where a state of emergency has also been declared. RFI talked to Umar Ardo, an official of Nigeria's ruling People's Democratic Party.
