The South African based survey group Afrobarometer says growth on the continent has not helped poor Africans. People surveyed in 34 African countries said that they regularly experienced food and water shortages and do not have access to adequate healthcare. Boniface Dulani, the lead author of the report, discusses why growth has not helped poorer people.
