The richest man in Africa is the Nigerian Aliko Dangote who made his billions through Dangote Cements. He's by no means the only multi-millionaire in Nigeria. The list is long. But it gets shorter if those accused of siphoning off public funds are struck off. One who would remain on the list though is Kola Aluko. He made his first million euros after establishing an oil company, Fossil Resources, at the height of the armed struggle in the Niger Delta, when multinationals were taking their operations offshore. He spoke to RFI about giving away part of his fortune in the hope of helping Africa to develop.
