Concerns about education in Ghana

In Ghana the new school term has brought fresh concerns about the state of education. In the year 2000, the United Nations set Ghana the Millennium Development Goal of providing access to primary education for all children. 14 years on the government has managed to half the number of informal 'schools-under-trees'. But teachers at a national conference have expressed concern that other key targets will be missed.
