Guinea-Bissau grass roots tackle education crisis

One of the major challenges facing Guinea-Bissau's newly elected president José Mário Vaz and his administration is the provision of basic education. As a result of chronic instability and abject poverty, many parts of the country have been without primary schools for over a decade. Children are left to grow up without basic education. One community has taken matters into its own hands to give children primary education.
