"All clinical and biological investigations in Réunion and metropolitan France have determined the absence of the Ebola virus," island authorities said in a statement.

Health care professional Chantal de Singly was admitted to the University Hospital Centre of Saint-Denis on 12 December following a two-week humanitarian mission in Guinea.

She had immediately contacted health authorities after showing symptoms of fever on Friday.
