South Sudanese refugees in northern Uganda

Issued on:

Since the start of the civil war in South Sudan in 2013, thousands of people have fled to refugee camps in neighboring countries such as Uganda. And as the fighting continues, so does the need for humanitarian aid according to the United Nations Children's Fund. In order to meet the basic needs of the refugees, Unicef says over 30 million euros are needed. But as with other global humanitarian crises like the recent earthquake in Nepal, funds are strained and the suffering of South Sudanese refugees continues.
