The Paris labour court has ordered the French rail company SNCF to pay over 150 million euros in compensation to about 800 Moroccans it hired in the 1960s and '70s and paid less than their French counterparts. Those men are among the tens of thousands of people from France's former colonies who came to work in France during that time period and who are now reaching retirement age. For 15 years the Cafe Social has been helping these men, many of whom never expected to grow old in France.
