Nigeria's Wellington Jighere becomes first African to win World Scrabble title

For the first time, an African has won the World Scrabble Championship. The new champion of the word game is from Nigeria. He defeated an English opponent during the final held in Australia. As Sam Olukoya reports from Lagos, Nigerians are generally creative with words. This perhaps explains why some of Africa’s greatest writers are from Nigeria.
