The tourism sector is steadily picking up in Coastal Kenya as hundreds of international tourists head there during the winter holidays. In November alone, nearly two thousand tourists arrived in Mombasa - a region that has suffered severely from security problems related to the Somalia-based al-Shebab militia group. Security officials in the region, led by Mombasa County commissioner Nelson Marwa has assured tourists of increased security especially during the festive season which often includes many activities. Our correspondent Joseph Jira reports from Mombasa.
