Disappointment in Kenyatta's backyard after Supreme Court ruling

In President Uhuru Kenyatta’s backyard in central Kenya, there is a lot of anger and disappointment since the verdict of the Supreme Court.

At the beginning of the month, the judges cancelled Uhuru Kenyatta’s reelection, because of "illegalities and irregularities" in the transmission of results.

For the opposition supporters, it is a huge victory, and a new hope to see their candidate, the veteran opposition leader Raila Odinga, enter the presidency.

But in Gatundu, Uhuru Kenyatta’s hometown, the verdict was hard to accept as Laure Broulard reports.
