ICC case filed against Vatican for priest abuse

Issued on:

A civil society group in the United States has filed a complaint six months ago against the Vatican at the International Criminal Court in The Hague, The Netherlands. The Survivors Network of those Abused by Priests (Snap) helps support people who have suffered abuse at the hands of priests or other community or institution leaders. Snap says that it has just filed new evidence to the court and hopes this will help further its case against certain officials at the Vatican, including the Pope, for complicity in abuse of children in many parts of the world.
