Time to ease China-Taiwan tensions, US think-tank

A New York-based think-tank has proposed a plan to ease tensions between China and Taiwan. The East-West Institute says that, if all parties cooperate, a vicious circle where the US sells arms to Taiwan which lies under threat by missiles stationed on the coast of mainland China could be broken and that the time is ripe for decision-makers to act. David Firestein is one of the authors of the report.
