The company’s Mexican subsidiary, Alstom Transport Mexico, will revamp 85 metro trains, the city council’s transport arm announced this week.

The work should take until 2024, with Alstom modernising the trains for the first four years and then looking after their maintenance in the succeeding years.

French President François Hollande visited Mexico in April this year.
