The peace process between Farc and Colombia, part 4

Issued on:

Colombia’s government and leftist rebels appear to be close to a peace agreement, after half a century of warfare. The treaty will set the stage for a huge demobilization: an estimated 7,000 guerrillas of the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia - or Farc - will disarm. About one-third of them are women. Farc members say that women enjoy equality and freedom within their ranks, while critics are quick to highlight the strict control of reproductive rights and accusations of sex crimes. Emily Wright reports from a guerrilla camp in southern Colombia.
