Nato's largest military base under attack in Afghanistan
Taliban fighters fired four rockets at Nato’s main base in southern of Afghanistan Thursday. It caused minor injuries, according to a US military official. This is the second attack on Kandahar Air Field in less than two weeks.

The four rockets hit Kandahar Air Field at 3 pm, 8 pm and 10 pm local time on Thursday.
“The one at 8 pm caused minor injuries to multiple forces,” a US official said. He did not reveal the nationalities of the troops involved.
Kandahar Air Field is one of the largest military bases in Afghanistan and the principle Nato hub in the south. It is regularly under fire.
A rocket and a ground attack on the Kandahar base harmed enough people to force a security lockdown on 22 May.
The base is situated at the edge of Kandahar city where US, Nato and Afghan troops are building an operation aiming at squeezing the Taliban out of the region.
The Taliban last month promised to launch a new campaign of attacks on diplomats, lawmakers and foreign forces.
