Tibetan refugees want to quit India

Issued on:

Tibetan refugees in India have for half a century upheld their demand to return to their homeland, while trying to preserve their distinct identity. The first Tibetans arrived in India with the Dalai Lama after an uprising against Chinese rule in 1959. Although the Indian government has provided Tibetan refugees with land on which to build settlements, they still want to go home.
