Myanmar opposition leader Aung San Suu Kyi has met with Karen ethnic minority rebels in her first significant foray into politics since her election to public office a week earlier. The Nobel Peace Prize described the meeting as a "significant event" that would help foster national reconciliation. RFI talked to Soe Hong of the forum for democracy in Myanmar about the Karen ethnic rebels and Myanmar's other ethnic minorities
