UN adds 400 species to under-threat list
More than 400 plants and animals have been added to the number of species at risk of extinction across the globe. Environment ministers from around the world are meeting in India today to discuss additions to the so-called "Red List". The list now includes more than 20,000 species and continues to grow each year. Sonia Pena Morena is a policy officer at the International Union for Conservation of Nature, which compiles the list.
