International jurists call for Sri Lanka chief justice's reinstatement

The International Commission of Jurists and a group of senior judges and legal officials from Africa, Asia, Europe and Latin America have called on Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapakse, to reinstate the country's Chief Justice, Shirani Bandaranayake, sacked and replaced Bandaranayake after the parliament impeached her. Dayan Jayatilleka, a Sri Lankan political scientist and former diplomat, talks about the stand-off between the executive and the judiciary.
