Hamza Shahbaz tells RFI Pakistan Muslim League-N can rule alone

Issued on:

Pakistan’s general election has seen a swing to the Pakistan Muslim League-N which has assured its leader Nawaz Sharif a third term as prime minister. But provisional results do not give the right-wing party an overall majority unless it can recruit some of the over 20 independents to its ranks. Sharif’s nephew, Hamza Shahbaz, who has been elected to the National Assembly, told RFI on Monday that the party is confident that it can not only form a government but also that it can rule alone.
