Indian law is not doing enough to stop acid attacks on women

In India, a new legislation has been passed recognizing acid-throwing as a serious offence and setting a punishment of 10 years imprisonment. But reports of acid attacks appear regularly despite the curbs imposed on its sales. Now, victims of acid attacks are pressing the Indian government to do more to prevent acid attacks on women.
