Issued on:

A month after flood waters inundated the northern Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir, the magnitude of the tragedy is still unfolding. Concerns over death and disease still haunt the area following the worst crisis to have hit the region in the last six decades. Attention is slowly veering towards cause of this unprecedented natural disaster. But with a harsh winter looming, there is also a focus on a possible epidemic among the thousands of displaced people.
