The authorities have feared a third French citizen died in an avalanche for some time and that has now been confirmed, Fabius said after the plane touched down at 5.45am with 206 people on board.
"The number of people found rises every day and that's a good thing," he declared. "But there are still more than 200 who haven't been found. We are very worried about some of them."
There were 12 children aboard the Airbus A350 and 26 injured people, two of them in a very serious condition.
Although the large majority were French, there were also Germans, Swiss, Italians, Portuguese, Turks and Koreans.
A second plane, with 20 tonnes of aid, arrived in Kathmandu at 2.40am local time after being blocked in the UAE since Tuesday.
