The Indian film industry is famous around the world for what are known as Bollywood films, popular movies in the Hindi language with singing and dancing that often generate hit songs.

The industry is based in Mumbai – which gave the industry its name when it was called Bombay. But the city has another film industry, which produces movies in the Marathi language. And as Dhananjay Khadilkar reports from Mumbai, the Marathi film sector has been enjoying a resurgence.
