In Ramallah the Palestinian general attorney has banned a novel after deeming it offensive to public morals. He has also instructed security forces to confiscate all copies of the novel, A Crime in Ramallah, from the Palestinian market.
The author of the banned novel, Abbad Yahya, lives in Ramallah but is currently on a trip abroad.
Yahya decided to postpone his return trip to Ramallah until the general attorney rescinds a summons for investigation against him.
