Hello everyone!

Here’s this week’s quiz question … surprising news out of Catalonia, Spain, this week – the parliament voted to ban bullfighting! 

Surprising to me, as Spain and bullfighting go together as Frenchmen and berets do … but as the majority of Catalonia's population, who endorsed the ban in a referendum, said: “Cruelty is not Culture”.
I have to admit that I, for one, have never been able to understand bullfighting – even Ernest Hemingway’s Death in the Afternoon didn’t help me get it. In fact, the only one I ever went to made me cry. So my question to you is two-fold: in what year will the ban become effective in Catalonia, and which other Spanish region has already banned bullfighting?
You have until 6 September to send in your answers; the answer and the winner will be announced on the 12 September programme.
