Interview: Anurag Kashyap, director of Gangs of Wasseypur

With a running time of five hours and twenty minutes, Gangs of Wasseypur, is the longest film selected in this year's Cannes film festival. It is in competition at the Director’s Fortnight – which used to be an alternative festival and which has since launched some of today’s best known film directors. RFI spoke to Anurag Kashyap, the director of Gangs of Wasseypur about his marathon cinema work, after a debate organised by the Director's Fortnight on Indian cinema today.
