Three Indian directors have films at this year's Cannes film festival. One of them, called Peddlers is competing for the Cannes Film Festival Golden Camera award for the best first feature. It’s set in Mumbai, and is the story of a corrupt, sexually impotent police officer, a dying woman who becomes a drug runner and a disenchanted housewife. RFI spoke to the 28 year-old director of Peddlers.
