New young artists join oldtimers at Montmartre's Place du Tertre in Paris

Paris City Council is launching a project to encourage new young artists to join the regulars painting in the Place du Tertre, the small square in the heart of Montmartre. It used to be a bohemian neighbourhood which welcomed artists like Picasso, van Gogh and Toulouse-Lautrec. The Place still attracts artists from all over the world and is now one of the French capital's most popular tourist spots.
