New building to house French National Archives as old sites run out of space

In France, all government documents, from even before the Revolution, are stored and cared for by the National Archives. There are two sites, one in the center of Paris, and one south of the capital, in Fontainebleau. But because documents are continually added, the two sites were running out of space. Which is why the archivists were eagerly awaiting the opening of a new building - the biggest - in Pierrefitte sur Seine, north of Paris.
