Bjork brings Biophilia children's education workshops to Paris

Issued on:

Icelandic musician Bjork is currently in Paris performing a spectacular show based on her 2011 app album/experience Biophilia. But she's also brought the education part of the album to town.

The Biophilia Education Programme proposes interactive science and music workshops for 10-12 year olds.

Kids use the apps or ipad applications which accompany each of Bjork's songs on the Biophilia album to explore the crossover between art, science, nature and technology.

Above all, it's about getting kids to be active and interested in the world around them.

We joined some of the 45 French kids attending workshops here in Paris's Espace Pierre-Gilles de Gennes at the ESPCI school of physics and engineering, where they got to record their own versions of Bjork's songs.
