Tuareg band Kel Assouf

"Tikounen" by Kel Assouf F. Pennewaert

In this week’s edition of World music matters, we hear from the Brussels-based Tuareg band Kel Assouf - 'the sons of eternity' in the Tamasheq language. Their second album, Tikounen, is published by RFI as part of its Talent programme. Band leader Anana Harouna talks to us about making music to "drown out the sound of bombs and missiles".
