British Prime Minister Theresa May is to face a vote of no-confidence in her own parilamentary party this evening, after Tory rebels mustered enough letters from Conservative MPs supporting the move. May faces a revolt over her Brexit deal and postponed a vote on it in parliament this week, saying it was clear she would not win majority support for it.

A new film festival in Paris opens this week which aims to give foreigners in Paris the full French movie experience. In this week's Arts in France, RFI's Rosslyn Hyams meets Séamas McSwiney. He set up 'Paris is cinema'. He calls this pilot event Femmes Film makers Fortnight.Six films are in the line up, all made by women directors.
