This week’s quiz: On 14 September, I asked you a question about a report done by my friend and colleague Laura Angela Bagnetto. That week, Laura Angela profiled a Nigerian woman in an article and radio reportage entitled ‘I had to help’: One woman’s fight to aid victims of violence in northeast Nigeria.
You were to send me the name of the woman, the name of the organization she founded, and which three areas are the primary focus of the organization.
The answer is: Aisha Waziri Umar. Her organization is called the Inara Foundation, and, as she told Laura Angela: “Our focus is economic empowerment, education, and agriculture.”
The winners are: RFI Listeners Club members Hans Verner Lollike from Hedehusene, Denmark; Mohammad Akhsan from Dhaka, Bangladesh; Riaz Ahmad Khan from Sheikhupura, Pakistan; Riaz Hussain from District Chiniot, Pakistan, and Raihan Ali, a member of the Nilshagor RFI Fan Club in Nilphamari, Bangladesh.
Congratulations winners!
