jewels with an estimated value of 40 million euros at the Cannes Carlton Hotel.

A jewellery exhibition was taking place in the hotel at the time.

The hotel’s management has so far declined to comment.

Nice police are invesigating the crime.

During this year’s Cannes Film Festival jewellery worth a million euros was stolen from a safe in the Novotel hotel.
